97: 10 Ways To Breakthrough An Income Flatline And Plateau 


What will you do when you suddenly hit an income plateau? That’s what we’re going to talk about in this episode. 
A money mindset is like taking a shower. After you have showered today, you still need to shower tomorrow. One of the reasons why you’re not earning more is that you've fallen back into old money habits. This is a very important topic and I’ve got at least 10 strategies for you to get over those things.

It's completely normal

02:16- 02:20 I always taught by saying whatever you’re experiencing is completely normal.

02:21- 02:28 Everybody has got humps in business. A lot of us, especially women we experience “lady humps”.
 02:30- 02:34 Don’t worry about it. Grab your pen and paper and will get straight into it.  

Your income plateau represents your comfort zone.

02:35- 02:40 Number one, your income flatline represents your comfort zone. 

02:41- 02:53 That’s why it feels so uncomfortable. It doesn’t mean that you’re not meant to be successful in business. It doesn’t mean that that’s the most you’re ever going to be able to earn.

02:54- 03:14 It really is just representative of where your comfort level is at the moment. so that whatever that you believe, you can earn or how much you believe you can earn and where your mindset is with money right now. It’s always very telling to see where you’ve hit your income flat line.

03:15- 03:27 Trust me, you will continue to hit other income flatline as well. I've been there, done that. I know that this one feels really real, but it really isn’t.


Have a really honest look at your money blocks

03:28- 03:31  Number two, have an honest look at your money blocks. 

03:32- 03:46 This is a great opportunity to re-visit your money beliefs. What are your thoughts and feelings about money right now? What are you telling yourself about money?


Identify your fears about money

04:47- 04:49 Number three, identify your fears about money. 

04:50- 05:05 Get quite specific. What are you actually afraid of if you earned more money? What would happen, good or bad? Now, if you’re willing to look at it, it might give you some valuable information to clear it.

 
Make friends with tax

05:07- 05:09  Number four, make friends with tax. 

05:10- 05:20 Now, I know some women who hold themselves back at particular income points because they’re afraid of paying more tax. 

05:36- 06:00 Or maybe you’re worried about other financial implications as well. Maybe you’ll lose particular benefits if you earn more; Maybe you’ll have to start paying different types of tax; Maybe you’ll have to start charging different taxes to your clients when you earn more. Now, I want you to have a look at your fears to see if there’s anything symbolic about this income level for you.

 
Upgrade your mastermind

06:01- 06:04  Number five, upgrade your mastermind. 

06:07- 06:22 This sounds like it’s a bit mean, but remember Jim Rohn said that your income is the average of the people that you spend the most time with. Look around at your mastermind, the people that you're hanging with, and be really honest.

06:23- 06:56 Has everyone else’s income plateaued or flatline as well? Have you flatlined to the point where everyone else’s income is or the average of everyone else’s income? If you want to go beyond that income flatline, it might be time for you to move into a mastermind, like Soul Rich Woman where people are earning more money because then it will inspire you to increase that for yourself as well.


Set a new goal

06:58- 07:00 Six, set a new goal. 

07:01- 07:20 Now, this is really funny. When women hit income goals, often they haven’t thought of the next one. They’re like, “I don’t know why I’m not earning more.” It’s like the universe is saying, “You haven’t told us what that next income goal is. What would you like to earn? ”You’re like, “I don’t know. Just more money.”

07:21- 07:26 What does ‘more money’ look like to you, my dear?

07:27 Make sure that you’re really, very, very clear on what the next income goal. So that you can actually know when you’ve hit it and you’ve got something to reach for beyond that income flatline.



Maybe it’s time for a break

07:46- 07:49  Number seven, maybe it’s time for a break. 

07:50- 08:20 So many of us just go to the next goal, next goal, next goal, make more money, make more money without anything in between. No wonder sometimes we feel like our F-word, Fabulous, Freedom, Financial successes to independence, and a Happy Family feel so far away and empty, our soul is empty, a soul rich woman without a soul because we’re not acknowledging them.


Have creativity breaks

08:54- 08:58 Number eight, have creativity breaks.

08:59- 09:33 What is going to help you go to that next level? Fresh ideas. New products, services, and offerings. Creativity requires getting out of your current environment. Go somewhere new, spend some time meditating, go to the beach or do something fun so you can take that creativity refresh. It’s not going to be the same ideas as before that will get you to the next level. Find a mentor, get someone to guide you.  It will take new ideas, new creativity, and new brainpower.


Give yourself permission to earn more

09:33- 09:37 And then number nine, give yourself permission to earn more.

09:44- 10:13 Repeat after me, "It’s safe for me to make more money. It’s safe for me to go to the next level. It’s safe for me to out-earn other people. It's safe for me to earn more than my friends. It's safe for me to make more money. I forgive myself and I set myself free. This is my time and I'm ready for the next step."

 
Get hustling

10:57- 10:58  Number ten, get hustling.

10:59- 11:10 What got you to where you are now? Keep the stuff that works and throw away those that don’t. Get hustling to get to that next income level.

Bottom line
 11:48- 11:51  I will say consistency will be the bottom line.  12:18- 12:22 So my dear, it’s time for you to get out of your income flatline.
