Show Notes91: The Art of Online Training: Seeding Webinars VS Teaching Webinars
In today’s episode, I want to talk about Webinars. A webinar is basically an online seminar that transforms a presentation into a real-time conversation from anywhere in the world. It allows a large group of people to engage in an online discussion. What is the difference between the seeding webinars and teaching webinars?
Teaching and selling webinar 02:43- 02:48 There is a difference between teaching webinar and Selling webinar. 02:52- 3:00 A teaching webinar is basically something that you are teaching step by step that by the end of a classroom setting 03:04- 03:011 they will learn something. This webinar could be a recorded version or a live streaming version. 03:39- 03:41 The live streaming type, 03:47- 03:51 you are conducting it live in person but over different software that you are using. 04:12- 04:14 In teaching, there could be elements of selling. 04:28- 04:30 The other type of webinar is what we called the selling webinar 04:39- 04:49 defined as webinars that you teach but you don't over teach. It’s more like a preview but yet you’re giving value. 5:55- 06:04 It allows you to set up for the next stage for people who are willing to invest in themselves to go to the next level. 06:30- 06:42 The disclaimer of this statement has to bear in mind that you must be targeting the right customers. Sell to everybody, sell to nobody. Speak to one, speak to many. Misconception of preview 04:50- 04:55 The misconception of “preview” means you’re just scripting the surface, you don't do any value. 05:13- 05:17 The people around you think that if you’re not teaching means that you’re lousy. 05:20- 05:24 All people think that preview means it’s not teaching. 05:28- 05:31 In the actual world, previews are great. It’s like an appetizer. 05:49- 05:50 The selling webinar 5:55- 06:04 allows you to set up for the next stage for people who are willing to invest in themselves to go to the next level. 06:13- 06: 29 People like me, who do these webinars really well, usually you will get a lot of people signing up for your next stage programs because people actually can see the value that you’re delivering. Target the right customers 06:30- 06:42 The disclaimer of this statement has to bear in mind that you must be targeting the right customers. Sell to everybody, sell to nobody. - When you understand your target, your webinars will be more effective.
